YI ZHANG, MS, RDN
Welcome — I’m Yi, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist dedicated to helping individuals transform their health through evidence-based nutrition and compassionate care. My mission is to guide people toward feeling stronger, more energized, and more at peace with their well-being — with strategies that truly work and last.
Over the past 8 years, working with patients across hospitals, clinics, and outpatient settings has made one truth clear: lasting health isn’t built on prescriptions alone — it’s built on the choices we make every day. Food is more than calories; it’s a lever to prevent disease, improve resilience, and extend both healthspan and longevity. That philosophy continues to shape the way I practice today.
After earning my Master of Science degree and completing clinical training in Nutrition, Healthspan, and Longevity at the University of Southern California — a nationally recognized program at the forefront of longevity and nutrition research — I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of patients across hospitals, outpatient clinics, senior centers, and virtual healthcare platforms. Since 2023, my focus has been on direct outpatient care in Orange County, California, both in-person and virtually, where I provide highly personalized service that blends evidence-based nutrition with emotional support. Patients consistently share that they feel heard, supported, and uplifted during our sessions, and I’m honored to have earned a 5/5 satisfaction rating along with strong retention and successful health outcomes.
My specialized expertise focuses on the areas that most powerfully impact quality of life:
-
Weight management(including GLP-1 support) — sustainable approaches that improve energy, metabolism, and long-term results.
-
Gut health and digestion — restoring balance for comfort, immunity, and overall vitality.
-
Diabetes and prediabetes care — guiding patients to stabilize blood sugar, reduce risks, and stay at A1c goals.
-
Women’s health, especially 40s+ and menopause — tailoring nutrition to ease transitions, support bone and heart health, and restore balance.
-
Senior nutrition and healthy aging — empowering older adults with dietary strategies that preserve independence, cognition, and vitality.
These experiences inspired me to found Nourimax — a practice where quick fixes are left behind, and where every person receives a plan that honors their unique story, challenges, and goals. Think of me as your food therapist: I’ll help you rebuild trust with eating, make confident choices without guilt, and discover joy in a way of eating that fuels your best self.
